The custom approach
AWS TV LinkedIn Ad Series
Over a dozen partner-created product demos needed to be given AWS-branded social media promotion, as well as coordinating splash screens for use in the video gallery. They needed to all feel as though they were part of the same system, while not looking identical when viewed in a feed.
Because some of the demos were for competing products, it was paramount that the illustrations highlighted the differentiators of each company. This involved close collaboration with our marketing partners, and a deep understanding of the unique target audiences involved.
Key to this ask was a series of custom illustrations that felt accurate to the function of the product, and to ensure icons were not reused to excess between illustrations.
Technical illustration
Each demo needed its own illustration, as well as standardized color palettes and “family” illustrations representative of each product group.
Parts of a whole
Stakeholders were given an opportunity to respond to both the storyboard stage, and initial proof of concept animations.
